Default Seat bracket question?

I want to replace the stock seats so....
Does anybody know of a tuner that makes seat bracket, and a plug to defeat the airbag on a 2000 S4?
On a side note my seat with out the heating element weight in at 58.5 pounds each.
Me on the scale 148.0 pounds;
Me on the scale, plus the seat a stout 206.5 pounds.
Thank you.

Default Re: Seat bracket question?

Depends on which aftermarket seat you've got. I have recaro SPG race seat for my S4 right now and I have custom make bracket. However, I also have a orginal recaro seat bracket for sell right now. And the airbag light will comes on if you remove the stock seat.

Default plug solution, maybe

I'm in the same boat. I've got a set of Recaros from a Jetta GLi and need to get a Recaro brackets. Someone last year mentioned about putting a 5ohm resistor and that would turn off the light-- I have not tried this yet...I'm worried I'll kickoff all the airbags or something stupid.

I found a wrecked 2000 A4 with sport seats, I am hoping to get to the salvage yard that has it. Then I am hoping that the plug is similar to the S4. If so, I may try to make a plug from the A4 harness and hopefully that will keep the light off.

Once I get around to it all and make it work I'll definately post the info.

Default depends on the seat

I've got Sparco Evo seats. Sparco sells a bracket to mount to a non-power seat Audi (e.g., A4 w/o power seats), which I use and had a shop weld the proper attachment on.

BTW, my stock S4 seats were 65lbs each.

Yes, I have an airbag warning light on. Like Shortbus says below, you should be able to put a resistor in there, but I haven't tried.
