Solid lifters
I'm trying to keep the guy from going down an ugly and unproductive path, unless he knows where it goes. People get talked into doing crazy **** to their motors all the time by supposed "experts". He should be talking to a high performance engine builder with experience in VW/Audi drive trains who has done one of these conversions before, and knows the gains and weaknesses.
He asked the initial question, and I've tried to get more info, to respond accurately.
If you don't like my posts, don't read them.
My own E350 has the E4OD. And (still laughing) I do the same thing with BMW and Porsche owners. Do a brake stall and get the thing spooling up, and LEAVE them off the line in a huge cloud of diesel smoke. Jeeezus that thing is fast off the line when it's empty. Can't imagine what it would be like with the shorter "towing" rear gear !
its a expencive project but I gues we all have hobbies and unfortunately some are more expencive than other but no regrets.
Thank you
1982 280zx machined daytona pistons to fit and shorter stroke crank custom machined. There is more but not realy audi related so I'll leave it at that.
If he would mention that I gues all this argument could be avoided.
He knows his stuff trust me . He built my car. If you like to see what it is and my mods list check this link. http://turbohyundai.dhs.org
He knows what he is doing trust me.
I do a lot of PDA events at the Poconos and LRP because I like their format. In addition, the cars and drivers are more on par with my current speed. Does D.A. run pretty losely and do their drivers pay LOTS of attention and point by? Lack of point by is my BIGGEST pet peeve followed closely by aholes with 400hp who want to drag race me down the main straight at LRP and then refuse to point me by when I crawl up their a$$ in the esses.
