Some Advice to all.
I have to post this and it is prompted by some emails and bashing I have been getting.
Firstly, If you think any mod that gives extra Power to you car is extra Stress on your car, Your right!
If you think that pushing your car and driving your car har will reduce its life, your right.
If you think it will cost you money to get extra power your right.
If you think you will push the car to its limits something might break, your right.
If you are not prepared to take these risks, DO NOT MODIFY YOUR CAR!
If you want your car to last forever, DO NOT DRIVE IT!
I am not being smart here, I mean it....
Every person that decides to modify their car, must understand they take the risk of something going wrong.
Every time you sit in your car and drive it, if you are not prepared to risk a accident, then you should not drive it.
Its that Simple.
If a Vendor who developes a Part or Kit has never had a problem or failure even during development is either full of it, or should go and work for NASA, but they even make mistakes and Learn By them... If they do, the consumer ends up with a better product.
Tell me which Vendor has made "perfect products" and come with a unconditional guarantee???
NOT ONE OF THEM!
How many Vendors actually have their own car to develop products on? Or do they rely on feedback from un-suspecting customers??
But at the end of the day, you the buyer has to bear the ultimate responsibility and risk of what you do and how you drive the car.
Just to let you all know so either you can have a laugh, cry, thoughts about or simply consider, here is a list of all items that either I had problems or failure from:
2nd Gear Synchro
2 Bent Intake Valves
1 Bent exhaust Valve
2 Pistons
2 Con Rods
1 oil Squirter
2 Exhaust manfolds
2 K-04 Turbos
1 GT25 Turbo (Damaged by exhaust manifold)
2 Coolant Temp Sensors
24 Spark plugs
Every Item that had a problem or failure was examined, studied and the reason why it failed was found.
I stated here almost 2 years ago that if my engine failed, I am prepared to rebuild it.
Well I have, Learned heaps and soon hope to have one of the most reliable 300HP+ A4 arounds.
Could I have had a 300HP+ a4 2 years ago, No, no one had a kit. How about 1 year ago, maybe, if something failed, i suppose you can only cry about it.
If something goes wrong tommorrow, I would probably know exactly what it is!
Go on and Flame me.
Especially those who have probably changed their air Filter and think they got a Extra 20HP!
Or those who use High Grade Synthetic Oil, and low grade Gas because its cheaper and wait 20K+ Miles before a Oil Change.
I bought my A4 for Myself to enjoy.
Why did you buy yours?

Re: Some Advice to all.
This is SO true! No risk no gain.
Everything sounds/seems so easy but it's not. A lot of people do mods and do not talk about the problems they have, everything seems to be an effortless thing and oh so wonderful!!!
This forum certainly helps with a lot of advice and reports so one can benefit and do the right things, thanks to all!
