Default some serious problem, dealer still couldn't figure out. please help!

2 months ago I realised something about my tt. It seems similar to another guys problem( Brooklyn 2001-09-18) The car seems to pull well when I push the throttle moderately but when I kick down I have a nice accel till 5500-6000(changes) then I loose all the power and the tach starts decreasing. I once reached 230 and the car slowed down to 180. When i take my foot off and push the throttle moderately the car seems to recover a little. What distubs me more is that the dealer service couldn't figure out the problem. They changed 2 valves in turbo but nothing is changed. Then the engine control unit and exhaust but still no outcome. the next step they said that they would change the fuel pump and turbo(I take the car to two services, one said its the pump, the other one said its exessive turbo pressure). I am quite frustrated cause I am in Turkey and it takes at least 2 weeks for as spare part! I doubt about a broken as someone mentioned before but the test tool( Vagcom you call I think) doesn't find anything wrong. I really need some help, I want to send an email to audi about this but I couldn't find their email. I will be very happy if some guys out there can help me.

Other than these I sometimes have some high engine temp and the fuel indicator doesn't work. The whole indicators panel will be changed as they said it is broken...

Thanks in advance

Default what kind of car, what year?

This kind of thing is definitely related to throttle control, and that changed with the drive-by-wire cars. Is your car a 1.8T, 1.8T dbw or 2.7T?

If it were a 2.7T I would say it is a blown TBB. But I figure you have a 1.8T. Anyone know if the 1.8T has a similar weak point?

I have a 2001 1.8T(225 bps). My car has drive-by-wire I think. What is TBB by the way?

Default TT has a speed limiter on it...You didnt by anychance bounce off it did you?

I think its limited to 145 or so....Having an afermarket chip removes this "feature".

thanks a lot but I have seen the guys dismantle the main hoses coming to the engine. I think they would have realised it. But I will have it checked anyway. Thanks again.

nope. The problem happens in all gears. Besides I have seen more than 260 kph( I dont know what it makes in mph)

Default 260km/h is about 160mph

Your car will have a 250km/h limiter if it is European market. Since your car is drive-by-wire, it might just seem like the car has run out of juice, but actually it is limiting your speed. You can get a few km/h over the limit, but it will fall back below and stay there.

It shouldn't knock you back down any farther than about 230km/h, so I guess that isn't the problem.

If you chipped your car then it doesn't have a limiter more than likely.
