Default Sparco help needed

I need a little assistance. I'm looking at a set of Sparco Torino's for a non-A4 application, but I haven't found anyone locally that has them in stock, so I can't sit in them to test for fitting.

I owned an A4 with the factory sport seats, and I fit in those comfortably. I also know at least one person here has a set of Milano's (I can't remember who), which are exactly the same dimensionally as the Torino's.

So, can anyone help me out? If I fit in the A4 sport seats, will I fit in the Torino's? I don't want to spend a bunch of money to be wrong, so any help would be hugely appreciated.

Regards,
Joel

Default I have the older style A4 sport seats (97), which are a little tighter than the newer ones.

IIRC sitting in Sparco Torinos, they were considerably tighter than my sport seats.

So if you had 2000 sport seats, they will DEFINITELY be considerably tighter than those. Not neceessarily a bad thing, but idunno how big you are. I'm 6'0", weighing between 180 and 200, depending on the month. =)

Default i think you'll fit fine. torinos, milanos and *cough* my SRD's *cough* are more forgiving width wise

then most seat applications.

Default Re: Sparco help needed

Thanks all for the responses. I'm about 6'2" and weigh a shade over 210 (heading for 195-200).

The guy that's doing work on my project (an '88 323 GTX) has an EVO with the Recaro's in it. I fit snugly in them.

Hmmm...maybe I better actually sit in them before I purchase. A 15% restocking fee prevents me from simply "ordering and THEN testing."

Thanks again.

Oh, I'm starting to look for a A4 1.8TQM again. There's a slight chance I'll see some of you at the APR BBQ...assuming they're having one this year.

Regards,
Joel

Default u may of answered your own question...

if you like those recaro's in the evo they pop up on ebay from time to time, and since they are out of recaro's normal offerings they go for alot less. i've seen pairs snatched up for $300. there are alot of shops/people building on the evo platform and they'll swap the seats out for spg's or pole positions.

however i do believe you'll need some fabrication to get the seats in. you may want to research this a little further.
