Stage 3 guys: Got any logs of RPM, MAF, O2, and injector duty? I want to compare....
I made two 3rd gear runs, running 17-18psi, water injection was OFF. EGTs slowly climb to around 1500F or so at redline.
If you notice, I'm maxing the MAF out at around 5600 RPM. Once that happens, the ECU has no clue how much air is entering, and maxes the pulsewidth out. This is going to be a problem once I really start cranking the boost up.
I'm trying to figure out how much more boost I can add. I'm thinking that as long as the O2 voltages are 0.820V or higher, and the EGTs stay under 1600F, I should be OK.
I'd like to see what some of the other big turbo kits are getting for O2 voltages though for comparison.

John, could you go to a little larger maf housing maybe 3" ID
and use a slightly larger injector or use a adjustable fpr to bump the pressure up a few lbs.
The good thing is that your still running good #'s at the 02, so if you bump up the boost a little at a time and still try to keep the high rpms above the .82 you should be fine, I think the fuel maps in the high rpms are still raising so that might be why it is still adding more fuel after you reach the max reading of the maf.

Wish i could help, don't have the VAG tools yet....
Talk to Bryan (Skabaru) though, if you can tell him what we need to log, then i can meet up with him and get some logs for you, we'd be happy to help...i have a T28 kit btw.
Also, if you go with stand-alone that uses a MAP instead of MAF readings will you get around that 5600rpm bottleneck?
Cheers,
Sameer

Will take some logs tonite
I fixed my little vac leak and the car is running better now so I hopefully can take some logs tonite. What specifically are you looking for? I'll just log everything and that way you'll have it

I'm getting my blow-thru MAF this weekend....
What I'm planning on doing is having my current 3" housing flowed, then adding 25% to it.
That would enable me to drop in 550 injectors in place of the 440s, and it should be very close. I'm guessing it would run more timing this way, but I have a FMIC, so hopefully the extra timing won't cause problems.

Theoretically, the bottleneck is the chip....
it could be tuned for a different MAF fairly easy.
With the proper chip, it would be fine. I guess that's what happens when you flow as much air at 5600RPM that a T28 1.8T flows at 7000 RPM

BTW...
what is the profile like for you, when do you get boost? I know you are not tuned yet, but when is boost onset, and what is the final hp estimates you hope to hit?
