Default stasis solid motor mounts

What's the story with the stasis solid motor mounts. What would these be like for the street? Is s4 mounts the only other alternative? How bout rs4?

Default Just missed ?? a GB for the RS4 mounts thru Mike @ Pure MS .. maybe give him a holler and see?

Failing that, ECS has them for a couple $ more. The deal with Mike was mostly free shipping...

Default 2.7/2.8 mounts should be good enough.

If you go too stiff you will increase the knock sensor readings which will also increase timing being pulled back.

Default From my reading on the S4 forum .. the knock sensor voltage will go up. Folks do not seem to see

any increase in timing pull back from using stiffer mounts.

Default If the knock sensor readings hit their limits because of the stiffer mounts

then the timing being pulled will increase. The key is to make sure you keep them down as much as you can with either motor mount. Wont gain anything from a mount that is too stiff for the setup.

Default Of course if the limits are reached you'll have issues but that doesn't seem to be an issue with the

stiffer mounts. All the data I've seen show increased volatage but no (more than with the prior set up) timing pull.

Default those cars make a ton of tq, wouldn't they be more apt to have problems

with the stiffer mounts than us? Or does it have more to do with the tq to engine weight ratio?

Default I'd imagine the heavier V6 and the heavier V6 torque would benefit more from the stiffer mounts than

our little 1.8s would.
Solid mounts might well cause timing pull but with the hydrualic mounts I think the higher torque Stage 3's would benefit .. help with the driveline flopping around. I think it's worth a shot to try 'em ...

Default Yea I wont be having any timing pull problems, just wondering

about super harsh vibrations from the solid mounts? I should be well over 300lb of tq.
