Default w=sqrt(k/m)

that is the simple equation for vibration.

w=(omega)=frequency

k=spring constant

m=mass supported by the spring

in this case m=motor mass and k=motor mount stiffness

just looking at the quation gives some insight in the relationship between the motor mass and the stiffness of the motor mount.

class dismissed

[im not an electrical engineer, but i think as "w" approaches the bandwidth of the knock sensor, the sensor will go off]

OK so does anyone have any experience with RS4 mounts on 1.8t?

Default Do you need to spend the extra money over the 2.8 or S4 mounts?

Because thats all your doing.

Default I have them on my 2.0 20v T . Cost the same in my case.

They seem good. Along with the snubmount the driveline is very tight...

I changed them along with ALOT of other stuff, so I really cant give to good comparison with the OEM a4 mounts.

the rs4 mounts are urethane and the 2.8 are oil filled. They are very diff!

Default Oh and how many A4's make 400+ tq at the wheels by 4500 rpms?

I didnt say they were the same, just the point of why spend more money on something that is over kill for that setup.
