Stoptech pad bedding procedure question.
I've got Stoptech and I have been running Pagid Blue pads. I installed Orange pads for a track event this weekend and was bedding them in tonite. I am doing what Matt@Stoptech recommended, 10 stops from 60-5mph using 70% effort, then 4 stops from 80-5. After the tenth 60-5mph stop I heard a loud rubbing sound coming from somewhere in the front, it was obviously the brakes. I stopped driving it hard and went home, gradually the noise went away.
Is this normal? I'm thinking I didn't damage anything since the sound went away and there never was any vibration. Thanks for any advice.

Was more of a metal-on-metal rubbing noise?
I had the same noise while bedding in Porterfields. It also happened a few more times during the first two weeks.
I believe the caliper was not retracting properly due to brake dust on the caliper guides. The outer pad would stick to the rotor and cause an awful rubbing/grinding noise.
