Default Surging in 1st gear.

I've noticed a surging feeling in first gear since I chipped my car. I have a '00 180 Coupe w/ an APR chip.

The acceleration isn't nearly as smooth as stock, and seems to be intermittent....

Has anyone experienced anything similar w/ their chipped 1.8t's?

Do I need to "re-learn" the ecu??

Thanks.
Dan

Default Regarding ECU removal....

There is directions in the Tech Icon above. If you don't have a Vag tool to reset, you can do it manually. Can't remember if it says to disconnect the battery, but I never have in the process and it works. Try doing the ECU removal again and see if anything changes. If no change and things weren't this way before chipped, I'd contact the vendor...
