swapped in the OEM shocks with Intrax Springs Friday...
and all i can say is "fluck you" Koni...it only took about 10 miles of regular driving to come to the conclusion that the OEM shocks have better damping capabilities than the Koni adjustable setup.
this was confirmed during my regular 65 mile commute home from work that evening.
NOW, i'm not even sure if getting the Koni's re-valved is even the right thing to do. if i understand what i am experiencing it's a problem with compression and rebound...but i'm really not sure.
perhaps i'll wait till the 1st track day in '03 and see how this setup handles on the track before doing anything radical with the Koni's.
i guess i could always sell them to one of the A4 owners...at least they are valved correctly for the lighter A4.

that will work great for a while, but the shocks will wear out fast...
I did the same thing in my A4. After one track event, I put in Audi Eurosport springs with the OEM Sport Suspension shocks. I did two more events and added about 10k miles and by the end, the shocks were toasted.
I then added Bilstein Shocks and everything was great after that. Very neutral setup with a 19mm Neuspeed bar set to the soft setting.
I guess if you already have the Konis, you may want to fix them. But, if you can, I'd suggest the Bilstein shocks.
Hope that helps.
