Default Thank you cmh for a great advice !

Last Monday I posted this message:

"2 years ago, I chipped the engine of my 1998.5 Audi A4 1.8T with the Neuspeed chip , but today, I feel that the engine does not feel as powerful than when I got the chip."

And this is what cmh suggested:

"The first thing you want to do is pull the ecu out and open it to make sure the new chip is in it. If it is this will reset the ecu anyway because the ecu tend to learn what the motor is doing and pulls timing and boost back after a while if the car tends to ping. If the power is still not there after you do that then I will say to check the BPV or use a boost gauge to see what boost levels you are getting."

This was a great advice because it cleared the problem, now all of the power seems to be back, I guess the computer needed a "reset". I think that was a great advice and I wanted to share it with people on the board.
