I've used R&A in Lyndhurst NJ...
Which is just outside of NYC, near the Meadowlands sports complex.
The proprietor, Andy King, has worked on two of my cars -- a 16V Scirocco back in the day, and my current 99.5 A4 1.8, which has a MTM Stage 2 chip and exhaust package installed. The car has the perfect amount of power now. I gave my friend who has a 2.8 a ride this weekend and in his words "Wow, this thing is fast."
Definitely speak to Andy. He's a good guy. And congrats for bucking the APR/GIAC trend.
