Default those with a 2.8 5 speed on a 1.8t...

the left side tranny mount for the 2.8 is different for the 1.8t. what did you do here?

put the 1.8t arm and mount on the 2.8 tranny?

or use the 2.8 setup?

To use the 2.8 set up I think you'll have to swap the subframe to the V6 version.

Default I would think you would just use the one off the 1.8.

I guess I will find out tomorrow since I am putting in the 2.8 trans in my 1.8t.

Default whoa...timely question...please report back :)

could you see if the 2.8 left side arm would fit on 1.8t tranny...since you'll have both off anyway. (unless the 2.8 didnt come with arms)

thanks!

Default I will, the 2.8 trans I bought does have both mounts on it still

and yes the driver side one is different since both mounts on the 2.8 look exactly the same. I will take some pics as we do the work tomorrow.

all you do is use the 1.8t trans mounts.

Default the things is, if you could use the 2.8 mounts (both sides)....

you'd be able to upgrade both mounts to stiffer ones.

What makes you think the 1.8 t mount is less stiff?

Default of the 2 trans mounts, only one side is trans specific

it would be pointless to try and use the 2.8 specific mount when installing the trans in a 1.8t car.

if you want stiffer I sure it would not be very hard to find a heavey duty bushing you could replace the soft stock rubber one. you use a solid mount but that may not be wqhat your looking for.
