Default For those that have switched to ATE slotted rotors...any negatives?

I need to replace my rotors and since it seems the ATEs aren't as costly as the stock ones, I thought this would be a good choice. There must be tradeoffs, right? If so, what? Durability? I'm going to pair them up with Mintex Red Box. TIA for any feedback or personal experience with these.

Default Needed to scrape out channels at the track..otherwise, get something besides Mintex Redbox..

They are a downgrade in performance in my opinion. No dust, but big deal. I currently have the Porterfield R4S street pads front and rear and they are GRRRRREAT.

Adirondak had the ATEs for $55 each when I got them.
