Default For those of you with External Wastegates

Need help connecting my lines...
Appreciate the help.

Here is what I have:
the Tial 35mm ext. wastegate outlet (currently connected to the lower opening, not the one on top, that's what I was told to do, anyways)
Manual Boost Controller with 2 openings
N75 valve with 3 openings (turbo, wastegate, and intake)

What needs to be connected to what? I though I understood, but I'm not seeing it anymore.
Thanks a ton
Steven

Default Here is what I did....

I eliminated the N75 completly. You have to leave it pluged in but dont attach anything to it.
Ran a vac line directly from a manifold presure sorce to the lower port on the w/g.
A tip with the tial gates... They work best with a the stiffest spring you can use. If you plan on running 18-20 psi use a 1 bar sping. I use a 1 bar sprig with a spacer.
Dont install the banjo fitting in the top port. Just leave it wide open, I found better responce when it was set up like this.

Default I just installed my TiAL wastegate....

I currently have just the lower connected, so I'm only getting ~8psi of boost.

Looks like there are two ways to do it.

If you use the manual controller, then just put it in-line with the lower connection, leave the top open.

If you use the N75, then leave the lower connected to an unmolested boost signal, and put the N75 in on the upper connection.

Keep in mind the chip was calibrated for an internal wastegate, and by changing the wastegate, or wastegate opening pressure, you affect how the chip controls boost, so the N75 valve may not work as desired.

Default What are you calling a manifold pressure source...

Do you have any pics?
Thanks

Default are you running a manual boost controller then?

or none at all, just the spring and spacer?

Default This may help a little...

I know this is using an electronic boost controller, but it may shed a little more light on it for you.

http://home.pacbell.net/gj_os/evcinstl.html

Default Some diagrams....

They aren't pretty, but you get the idea.

Default So would it be better...

to connect the WG line to a line that goes from the turbo to the intercooler, or try to round up the banjo bolts/fitting for the compressor outlet on the turbo? Pros/cons, places to get materials for the banjo stuff. What would I need, the fitting, gasket, and bolt? Right now there is a bolt there, but I think it is solid, but it might be banjo.
Thanks
Steve
