turbo break-in periods, myth?
What's the consensus/facts here? Do turbos have a specified "break-in" period of time? Considering my tech took my car out and railed on it for nearly 100 miles after my new turbos were installed my guess would no. My svc writer tells me he drove it very hard, to make sure everything was kosher. That makes me lean towards beleiving there's not a break-in period. Other people have said no/yes, what's your take?

Especially on the sleeve bearing turbos. Basically a finely balanced shaft spinning on an oil film
with no metal to metal contact points. I think if they 'wore in' at all the potential for galling from pickup would be catastrophic.
