Update: 3500 miles on my South Bend DXD. Still doesn't hold.

On Miatas some say that if you push the throwout bearing in too much it will squeal..
On the Miata it is supposed to be flush with the flywheel (at least that is my understanding).
my ACT extreme squeals, but if i beat on it it shuts up. Super heavy pedal (which i love) and grabs like you on a moose in heat

AWE kits
Who has had experience with the AWE kits? What can you tell me about them compared to the other kits available? I'm looking to replace my current stock setup with a higher performance setup, but I don't need a super performance kit. Just something that will be similar to stock in feel but I can upgrade the rest of the car around it.

That's the same thing that happened to me, except with WoA.....
I watched Eddie use the loading machine, WoA was stock ~1150 lbs, IIRC, and the Sach's Racing plate was ~2250lbs unmodified.

All I can say is that I have 40K miles on my AWE stage 2, and stock flywheel...
And after break-in, it's never slipped even with 5000 rpm+ clutch drops. Perfect driveability, no complaints.
Will it hold 400 hp?
Time will tell.
