VDO boost gauge calibration?

My needle is off-center @ '1' in Hg (car off). Have any of you had to crack one open and recalibrate it back to '0'?

Just call up VDO and they should replace the gauge for you for free.

This happen to the first autometer gauge I had that I bought for $20 from a friend. Autometer replaced it without me even showing that I bought the gauge from a shop. Now that is customer service.
