Very good article on tubo math (trim, surge, maps, sizing) in SCC..
There is a nice 8 page article on turbos in the September issue of Sport Compact Car. Goes into detail on picking the right size compressor, explains trim, using maps, picking the right turbine, the right exhaust housing, and calculating power potential. Even goes into detail on what has to be done to some turbos to support large amounts of boost.
Very informative, a must read IMO.

I noticed that SCC and Euro Car have great technical articles lately...
Along with my Grass roots motorsports, Sports Car and occasional Autoweek, I just look at C&D, R&T, MotorTrend for pics - at the magazine stand

what I understood from that article is it is not just science but also an art to match a system...
I did not find the article very helpfull though since it is not usefull for 99.99% of the people who will get a complete solution from a tuner as opposed to building their own. Still a good read though (at least for engineers and turbo-heads)
