Default VR6 vs. stock throttle body (not installed yet)

just some pics. Someone asked what the plate diameter was. I measured it, but forgot what it was. I think it was 2.7" vs. 2.2"

I was hoping I could just make an adapter plate, but the holes are just too close together. I could make a two piece plate, but I think it would just be easier to weld a plate on, hog it out, and leave it at that

Those VR6 TBodies are going to be tough to find if you A4 guys keep buying them ;-)

I am probably going to use (an older) one on the 10vt down the road.

That VR6 TB is too new to work with my car...I need the old skoo one, that has a different pot on it ;-)

But yes, just gotta weld and grind that adapter, and it'll go right on both your car and my car

Just click the link, pic is rather large.

Dunno how to do multiple urls', so copy and paste this one.

Car is Javad Shadzi's 300-something hp 80q10vt.

Note the connector and lack of bulk of the older VR6 TB...
