Default Wanna find out who's got the most HP?

I see all these posts lately about who's got the bigger turbo, or the best output with their new 2.0 liter conversion and a whole lotta talk. Do you want to prove that you've got the better numbers? Come on out to Dyno Day on the 13th of Sept. on Saturday at Payn Technologies in Troy and make yourself heard. Cost is $100 per person. This is for AWD vehicles only. There are still a few openings left for those who want to sign on. All those interested to register, write back.

Best test of HP is not a dyno - but quarter mile terminal speed

Default Dyno is better IF...

(keyword IF) all the runs are done on the same dyno, the same day.

Default Wheel HP is better than flywheel HP

the same motor in two different cars will perform differently.

Default Dyno is for those that cant shift or drive more then 1 gear.

Tuning a car for racing is not the same as tuning a single gear pull on a dyno.

Default Dyno is for tuning the ENTIRE RPM band....

not just the 4500-7000RPM you use at the strip.

So I take it you'll have all your tuning done at the strip, and it won't ever touch the dyno? (assuming your car will actually be running again)

Default Here's how it'll work

Well it looks like I got some peoples attention, so I'll fill in a few holes. Yes, this will all be done on the same dyno on the same day right in front of you, one car after another. Hell, if you want, start placing bets on who's got the most HP, or most accurate guess. I even got one of the Audi techs from Laverys to go with his A4. So, you're in good hands either way. There are always variables in finding HP numbers. Air temp, humidity, heat soaking, ect. Each car will get multiple passes (3 most likely) so that there will be no question. And yes, this is HP to the wheels. The dyno run itself is measured in fourth gear. The car is taken up nice and smooth through the gears until fourth, where the pedal it then floored. The computer screen reads ft/lbs. as well as HP to the wheels. It is loud as hell, and truely an awesome sight to see/smell/feel.

If you want to go, just email back your name an email (phone # if you can) and I'll contact you personally to make sure you're on the list.
