Default What knock sensor voltage is considered detonation via VAGCOM? (Also chip update on 2.0 conv)

After having no luck getting a chip (I should say, a good running chip) I just put in my GIAC K03 chip with a set of 310cc/m injectors (combined with my homemade 3" MAF), and the car runs great.
It's still only set for 10psi, but I swear it pulls harder once I hit 5000RPM (with 10psi of boost coming on around 3000RPM or so) Must be the VTEC kicking in

The stock MAF measures 2.44" id, so that's 4.676 sq in.
My MAF measures 2.75" id, so that's 5.940 sq in.
That's a 27.02% increase
The stock injectors are 240, and a 27% increase is 305, 310's are close enough.

I just did a 1st/2nd gear WOT run, and my O2 values are in the 0.85 - 0.88V range, which looks OK, it does seem to fall off a little in the upper RPMs (starts off at 0.88V and drops to 0.85V)
I was hitting 175g/s at 6500RPM, and corrected thats 220g/s (40g/s more than my K03 had on it's best day)
Sadly, I think the 310 injectors are maxed out at ~220g/s, the 240's were maxed out at ~175g/s, so that seems about right.

Because the ECU is actually reading the wrong MAF values, the load values will be off, so it could be running more/less fuel and timing than it should. I want to make sure that it doesn't start detonating because of lean mixtures, or too advanced timing.

So, back to the question at hand, what kind of knock sensor voltages equal detonation?

Also, what is considered too high of an EGT, and what's considered normal?

Default John, maybe you should contact Gjaime. He is logging a lot of values for his SIII and may have some

useful comparos for you. He's out now doing some MAF logs.

Default Upper limit of Safety: Sustained 900 deg C. or 1650 deg F.

My gauge typically reads: 400-800 deg C.
(probe is in the exhaust manifold)

Default I was seeing 1350F-1400F during highway cruising (3400RPM), and 1550F WOT (not extended though)

Now when you say safety, is that safety for the turbo, or the motor?

My probe is in the manifold too.

From my understanding, Safety of the Turbo

similar to mine: 1250-1350 HW, 1350-1450 WOT, probe 6" behind turbo

Unless the High EGT's lead to detonation, then safety of the motor

Default Yep...you are correct

EGTs are important for the sake of turbo. You want to find out what the turbo can take

Where/how did you mount your EGT probe?
