Default What's the fastest anyone has had a 710N go bad?

I'm boosting about five pounds less than what I used to. I just put in a new 710N about six months ago. With a K04, would you think my lack of boost is due to a worn valve, or perhaps something else? I've checked the hoses and they look fine.

Default 710N's don't "wear", the diaphragm rips.

Either way, it's cheap enough to replace periodically to rule it out.

Default #1 cause of a bosch diaphram going bad is

is installing it backwards. If it is installed backwards the diaphram can get soft and the boost pressure at the bottom of the valve will push it open enough to leak out air.

Default Thanks for the repsonses, guys. So is it realistic for the valve to go bad in six months?

...assuming proper installation?

Default Yes it can. But some people including my self have been able to use a 110 bosch valve

for over a year without any problems. I still use a 110 valve as a back up to the EVO valve I now have in my car.

Default Good to know, thanks again. I ended up ordering the Forge 007 from ECS.

Yeah, I know it's a lot for a valve, but if the OEM valves keep lasting only this long, it'll be worth my time in the long run. Thanks again for the input, 2.0.
