Who got the fastest car?
I got an idea, lets find a place where we can measure 0-150-0 and see who really has fastest car. Better test than the 1/4.
Im up for it, anyone else, + ideas on where. It will take me around 1/2 mile to get near 150 so we need at least a 1 mile straight to do it (er) safely.
Lets hear from everyone

and how does 150-0 help tell us who is fastest?
I don't think many of us have a safe place to do a 0-150 and when starting from 0, you take the launch into account and start measuring driver skill not car's power. CAPS is the way to go. The super fast cars might not seem as much faster this way as they really are. But who cares.

That's not what these forums are really about, lately.......
It's all about the smack you can talk.
My car's fastest. You're all slow. That is all.
;-P
The 0-150-0 test was derived from the Car & Driver magazine, from years back. Theoretically then, My car may actually beat Mike's if he only had stock brakes for example. In the event that someone won due to thier superior braking capabilities, then the smack talking would continue because "someone reached 150 faster" and would technically be "faster". I say screw that, let's have a smash up derby, and who ever drives away obviously built the best car.

What I was commenting on was the smack talk.... This list could be much better.
Who cares (outside of a small group)if you are fastest. My car is too fast to drive to the limits for my current level of skill, so it is about what I want- and would scare the shiz out of almost all - including me). Its all about building a car you are happy with. If you want to build the fastest 1.8t drag car then put the big hp engine in an early VW - torsen quattro is not the fast kit. If you want a track car then strip it wnd weld it and do some susp. work with a cage or whatever floats your boat. I love to drag rece, but it is very hard on my car so I will do little of it, I simply cant afford it. Point is I hate to hear the same old ' Can/Cant mails here, I would love to see a move for people to help each other and relate their experience rather than their opinions and biases. Well back to reality.

well you can lie about any parameter when it comes down to it
and so cal guys will never see any low temps like a lot of us so there is always a flaw in the system when it comes down to it. You're right tho, it's all about having some fun and making improvements.
