Wicked Fast TT's??
I know of the Stage 3's out there for the TT, and the company in Canada that does the v6 conversions. Has anyone thought about trying an S4 engine in a TT, and running higher boost on twin K04's? I would think you could get 400 to 500 HP from that setup, and for the TT, that would be wicked fast, IMO. I wonder if anyone has any thoughts on this, whether the engine would fit, etc. Just curious right now, but who knows?? Thanks...

The engine would fit, but you have to bore a hole on the firewall to put the S4 tranny...
a short propeller shaft that bolts to an S4/A4 rear diff, since that Haldex type won't work. Does it have to be AWD? J/K Won't fit. A transverse mount VR6 is the way to go

one of the big euro companies did it, (I think either abt or oettinger), but
The company in canada (HPA motorsports), doesn't just do a V6 transplant... it's a 24v VR6 sequential twin-turbo that puts out 550hp. This is a way better setup because it's a transverse mounted and therefore bolts up to the stock tt driveline.

Yes, it has been done . . .
A company in the UK is in the process of creating a 'kit' that will consist of the S4 engine along with all of the running gear including the S6 tranny. They will even have options for the RS4 engine and tranny. They will be selling it in the US some time next year ranging from the stock engine to 600+hp. They don't know what the price will be since they are still working on the prototype TT. Since it is including all of the S4 running gear/tranny it will have to cost $50,000+, but that is just a guess.
