Would a chipped A4 benefit from a manual boost control system?

I've been reading the autospeed article on using a manual boost control setup in order to prevent wastegate creep. Is this still an issue w/ chipped cars and would this setup be beneficial if set to the same psi (18) as my chip?
Any ill effects from such system?

No, a EBC/MBC would not benefit a chipped KO3...
that is because chip tuners increase boost in the mid range (where the KO3 shines) and taper it off as you reach redline. If you have a EBC/MBC then you are setting your boost at a specific level, and so either you give up that extra mid-range boost from a tuner chip, or you have to push your KO3 beyond its efficiency map (which is not good for the turbo or the engine).
For a bigger turbo that can hold boost linearly through redline, it would be something to consider.

you could get a MBC and set it for approx 10psi or so....
this would give the benefit of quick spoolup, but still allow the ECU control over 10psi.
Since the K03 already spools up pretty quickly, you may not notice a difference.

Am I correct in saying that chipping does not cure wastegate creep?
so the wastegate becomes partially opened before the desired boost is achieved thus delaying power?

Possibly.....
The N75 is just a bleeder valve, when it's activated, it bleeds off air, but some still gets to the wastegate.
How much actually gets to the wastegate depends on how much the N75 can actually bleed off, what the current line pressure is, and what the ECU is telling the valve to do.
