Default x-post: How can a n-dbw w/o maf and map tell that I exceeded max charge pressure?

I'm running gt28rs and I'm waiting on my programming but for now I'm running with no maf, and after about 25% throttle I hit soft limp mode. I checked the codes and it says exceeded maximum charge pressure. I was curious how a 99.5 (n-dbw), with no map and no maf can tell that I exceeded the max charge pressure. TIA
Tom

Could be a issue with load readings since you dont have the ecu plugged in.

Default If you're blatantly running with things unplugged, and know the .....

ECU won't be working right without them, and that it'll set DTC's, why are you concerned about the specific DTC's it sets?

Max charge pressure DTC's can be derived from throttle position, rpms, and engine load calculations. Once the ECU recognizes the MAF's unplugged, it goes onto using predetermined MAF values for rpms, and since you're running a bigger turbo, which increases the engine load values earlier, can throw that code.

$75 please. ;-)

Default Excellent, thats the info I was looking for

I was just curious how it came up with that code, everything is plugged in normally now and it went away, Thanks

Default Lol, yup you were right, it was fine initially

started fine idled perfectly which everyone was saying wouldn't happen, but once I got past like 25% throttle it went into soft limp, so I'm just waiting to get my ecu back from atp then we'll see.

Dave, Do you know how long it takes upsolute to custom tune the ecu, also how much did they charge you if u dont mind me asking?

Who is doing your custom programming?

upsolute chip was 350$ that was for a big turbo chip 550 injector program and a bypassed n-75 vale{open boost circut} when i do some dyno work if i need changes or have probs i can take my dyno sheet back to him and have things changed.i think i was at his house about 3 hrs

Default What caused your engine to blow?

Was it the programming or too much power?
