Default x-post, sort of anyway

I tried asking on the b5 platform forum but just got thread jacked and no answers.
I was wondering what you guys would go with and why:
the GT28R turbo or a T3/4 setup?
I am looking for pros and cons, I know what would be needed for the GT28R turbo, I could get the programming from APR. What, if any advantages would I have if I went with a T3/4 setup? Would I need anything special to make it run right?
I know I guy that had a t3/4 setup that was super fast and he said he could drive it daily. i am just looking for some input here.

Default sorry for threadjacking on A4

with a t3/t4 you have to source every part yourself and either use software for another turbo or use a stand-alone system. You will end up spending insane amounts of money. Unless you want your car for racing/show I would recomend a kit. GIAC and APR are both coming out with stand alone like products that will let you tune your engine from a laptop. Very cool stuff, IMO. Not full on stand alone, and hopefully more than a computerized boost controller.

Default Its cool man, sorry if i was rude about it,

Its hard to get good info sometimes when you don't have alot of posts. Im into racing and I can get a ride w/my g/f if I need to until I could get a crazy setup like that to work. I want big power and I know that when you get some crazy setups tweaked right they can be stable that is why i am trying to figure out if i can get all of the right parts to do it with. I want a sleeper that I can take out to the track and have fun in.

Default You weren't rude about it at all bro.

I like your sleeper idea. My eventual plan is to have a kinda S4 looking A4 w/enough consistant power to keep up with buddies stock S4 and soon to be e46 m3. when he bumps up I might have get a new turbo.

btw, I think I also left out custom chips. I don't know too much about the custom stuff, there are a lot of better educated people here.

Peace
