Default (Xpost) other than looks what.....

is the reason for a larger diameter wheel? I know a wider tire will result in a greater contact patch but won't the circumfrence of the tire be the same or close to the original regardless of wheel size? What is the effect of a larger diameter wheels on torque and HP? Big brakes are probably the only compelling reason to increase wheel diameter.

Shorter sidewall on tire = crisper handling; sharper turn-in.
