Default XPOST: WYSIWYG: got a few southbend clutch questions for ya or anyone.

i'm in *DIRE* need of a clutch and just spoke with eddie@southbend.

1/ do you have the specs of the kit you purchased from him? dxd-hd: ~470lbft/2500psi? 6puck?

2/ are you running it with the unorthodox lightened flywheel? ~10-12lbs?

3/ how's the pedal feel/take up compared to the oe clutch?

tia man.

Default I love mine....

I just got it put in last weekend.

WYSIWYG is running a rigid disk and (stock flywheel???), me and Rich Sierra are running the sprung hub setup with the APR flywheel.

It's a 6 puck setup, ~2400psi, not sure what the torque rating is, but it's up there.

My old Werks of Art stage 2 clutch had the release point at the top of the pedal, this one is further down a little, with a stiffer pedal. The release point is pretty quick, not on/off quick, but nowhere near what the stock setup is like.

I drove a stock flywheel/clutch setup this weekend for the first time in several years, and I absolutely hated it. Once you get used to a lightweight flywheel/performance clutch, you'll never go back.

Default thanks for the input guys ...

i'm been speaking with dave @ spec as well and it seems theyre comparable to the southbend solution. both offer a 10-12lb flywheel and upwards of 470lbft grab.

my biggest hangup before dropping the order is the 10-12lb flywheel deal. do you guys have any problems with stalling while using the a/c .. etc? i recall hearing problems of such nature with the original 12lb apr flywheel way back when. not sure how relevant that is ...

john, you may not be the best "gauge" given the current tune of your car. =)<ul><li><a href="https://forums.audiworld.com/a4/msgs/1547388.phtml">aw/a4 forum link</a></li></ul>
