The new Yellow grommet AMI to Lightning cable works to display album artwork, but it is not case-friendly. It works with the Apple leather cases because those leave the entire bottom open. But most aftermarket cases will not work with the Yellow grommet cable.

The White grommet AMI to Lightning cable does NOT display artwork. Don't get that one.

The Blue grommet AMI to 30-pin cable will not display artwork, but it will work with older iPods like the Classic.

The Red gromet AMI to 30-pin cable will also pass album art when used with an Apple 30pin to Lightning adapter. But it will not work with older iPods like the Classic.

I recommend the Apple adapter with the short cable, not the adapter "block" that was displayed earlier. The adapter block does not work with all phone cases. Plus, the adapter block tends to get bent easier while plugged in the iPhone.

I'm using the Apple adaptor with the short cable, but the volume is coming through really, really low and I can't seem to adjust it. Any idea what's going wrong?

Was a fix ever found for the new iPhone 6/6+ constantly disconnecting and reconnecting? I was my understanding that the phone draws X amount of power but the MMI can only supply < X amount of power so it constantly drops connection and then reconnects. I heard that if the phone is fully charged at 100% this wont occur but I haven't tested that. Sounds more like an Apple issue where they need to have better charging management software in the phone. Was there ever a fix for this?

I've been using tune2air in my car for bluetooth streaming. If you have the 30 pin cable buy the viseeousa 1000 model this plugs to any 30 pin iPod integration cables.

I have just bought Preowned 2012 Audi Q5 recently. Apologies for my lack of knowledge on the vairant. I am interested in knowing how to connect my Iphone 11 pro max to my vehicle for playing music(online streaming) while I can still pick my phone calls using the telephone setup on car. Any help on this would be very much appreciated. Tune2air is the one option that I have found which can help. Please suggest.
