Thanks for your comments everyone. They make me feel better. I would consider the 3.0 but find it hard to justify the extra $$. And although the stated gas mileage is only slightly better with the 2.0, those extra miles per gallon combined with the nearly 20 gallon gas tank could mean a 50 to 75 mile additional cruising range between fill-ups. This is a plus for me as I live in a rural area and hate having to fill the tank frequently.

No need to second guess your order. 2.0T, 3.2L, 3.0T all have their supporters. Kick back and wait for it to come in. Bet you'll be pleased with it.

You should rest assured that you will be very pleased with your Q5. I had been wanting an Audi for a long time and 2 weeks ago I made my Audi debut with a 2012 Q5 S line Prestige. It is by far the nicest, most refined SUV that I have ever driven. The attention to detail is superb and the quality of materials used in the interior are first class. My girlfriend wanted to get an Escalade and I changed her mind very quickly when we test drove the Q5. I know I'm still in the honeymoon stage with my new car, but every time I park it in the garage, all I look forward to is driving it again. I'm sure you will feel the same way. Congrats!

Thanks again with all your comments. This will be my 4th new Audi purchase. I currently have a 2001 A4. Overall I have had a positive experience with my Audis. My first one was in 1977! It was one of the first cars available at that time with fuel injection rather than a carborator. One of the reasons I decided on the 2.0T this time is that the engine has been around for some time and I hoped that any problems would have been worked out. My A4 has the 2.8 6-cyl and has been relatively trouble free. I considered an X3 but I always seem to come back to an Audi when I make a purchase.

I can't really comment on experience because I only had the car since Saturday but like everyone said you will love it. Cars do break and as much as all of on here hate it we deal with and help one another out. Be positive and positive things will happen. 1977 damn I was born in 1979 ;-) just busting your chops. Good luck !!!

We've had our 2013 Q5 for 8 weeks and although we haven't driven it too much, everything is performing and functioning as expected. We cross shopped GLK, X3 and RDX and after the usual trade off's and compromises opted for the Q5 and have been very happy with our decision. No regrets at all with the vehicle. The dealership is another story though, but getting better.

You should be good with your decision. It sounds like you've thought things out.

Hi,
I am a new forum member, I would like to share with you my worries regarding a new car. I have it for 1 month, and I am very satisfied (I was) with the car,the engine is absolutely wild, strong enough and very smooth. But...
I drove my Q5 in rainy day and entered into deep pool couple of times and in the next day I discovered a water in the xenon headlights. I applied to my dealer and was answered that it is possible, cause xenon lamps eradiate heat and they are not hermetic. They are planning to drain them and not to replace them. I am worried about humidity in the lamps and I expect future problems with the gentle mechanism of bi-xenon lights. Does anybody know about this problem???

I have zenon lights on my 2001 A-4 and never have had a problem. My lenses are glass though. I believe most are plastic these days.
