Default proper breaking in procedure

So Ive done 900 kms so far in my tt2.0. Slowly pushing it a tiny bit more. Since Ive had it I've never taken it above 3500 rpm (I have once accidentally).. When it reaches 1000km can I start to increase the revs to 4/5k rpm? then when can I try things like launch control!?

It's all in the owners manual. No redline, no more than 2/3 max speed, otherwise drive normally.

Default We had this discussion on the S4 forum, and I found that...

those who didn't follow the break in procedure had very little oil consumption. Those who did had a range of oil use. I drove my S4 normally from day 1, and had no oil consumption whatsoever. My advice: just drive your car normally, but dont drive the crap out of it.

Default Drive it like you normally will drive it. I don't mean bounce it off the rev limiter 10 times a day

You need to really drive the car like you will every day. Don't do that 3500rpm crap, its BS. I broke my 2.0T A4 in like I'm saying to, and it doesn't burn oil, and the MPG is dead on to what its rated at. Don't be scared.

Default Agreed ^^^^^ . Don't abuse it, but drive it like you would daily. There is nothing wrong with 5-6K

RPMs.

I broke it my 2.oT this way and from an oil consumption, MRG stand point its FINE.

Nor have there been any issues in the 42.5K miles on it.

Cool, well I'm at 1200kms now and been up to 5-6k rpm max. I rarely took it above 4k rpm up to 1000 kms. Havent taken it right to the limit. and I havent tried launch control yet -- looking forward to trying that soon (perhaps at 1500 kms)
