Default 2015 No rear heat?

I have a 2015 2.0T premium plus and noticed today that the rear heat does not get warm. The heat up front works as it should but when I turn the rear heat to hot I can feel air blowing out of the vents its just not getting warm. Does this vehicle have a rear heater core? Or is the heat just diverted from the front? If its just diverted then i may have a damper that is not functioning. Any input would be greatly appreciated. My kids are tired of the cold air! For now i just turned it off.

It is just diverted. I think only A8L has a real rear heater core.

Did you select the front floor vents? That's how the heat gets routed to the back.

No warranty left and yes I did try putting the heat to floor. I get air flow out of the rear vents its just not getting warm. Is there a schematic of how this rear system works? If the job is to big for me to tackle I will just live with it. No reason to spend a ton of money on it at the dealer.

I have not been brave enough to search under the dash for the faulty blend door. For now I just keep the rear vents off. Kind of annoying but probably not worth the expense to fix. The car is small enough to be heated via the front vents. Hopefully it still blows cold in the summer!

Most likely the air guide #15 in my post to you

Did both you guys have the Aux. Electric Heater grid recall done? If so there is a good possibility that the dealer didn't install and adjust the air circulation doors properly, These doors are disturbed when performing the recall work.

Thanks Bob. I did have that done but it was a while ago. Probably not going to be able to convince my dealer it was their fault. I will mention it Monday when I drop off the car for the after run coolant pump recall.

If the doors weren't put back correctly, and tested with their VAS system to initiate the door stops at each end of the swing, you can have air flow issues. The dealer should at least check the door positions with the VAS for you when you take it in, it's quick and simple.
