2018 SQ5 - rear window ALWAYS dirty?
Hi - Got my 2018 SQ5 3 months ago & can't believe how dirty the rear window gets - SO QUICKLY! Granted, I'm in New Hampshire and it's winter.... but this is surprising.
It's so bad that I won't use the rear wiper, as I feel like it's just going to scratch the window. Would new rear splash-guards help? I can't tell exactly where it's coming from, so not sure what to address. Thanks!

Other than buying a different car, there's not much the OP can do.
Try using RainX or some other hydrophobic compound or one of the "super" polishes on the rear window, and the dirt may not stick as heavily. The only other thing that would affect it is to change the aerodynamics entirely, by putting a "wing" or other shape change up on the rear edge of the car, and that would be a lot of messing around, probably to no point.
So, "glass wax", or a new car, or maybe moving to a cleaner state?(G)

I vote for Redd's recommendation re RainX etc.I've used it for years, in Quebec and rear window visibility is manageable.
By the way Redd I had a 72 Country Squire which had an enormous chromed wing on the rear gate.Didn't do a damn thing but the car had a 390 4bl.so I didn't care what was behind me.

I have really never used my rear wiper! I don't even know how to turn it on. The day I brought my new Q5 home one of the first recoding was to turn off the auto rear wipe when the front wipers are running and you go in reverse.
