I just want to make sure I'm understanding this right. All of you who have chosen this option are paying over 50K for your Q5, correct?

I paid about 47K. I think that was about 6% under MSRP. So no, it should be no where near 50K unless you get S-line

Not necessarily, back in May I paid 47,646.00 for a 09' S line with Prestige pkg. That's 200.00 under invoice. Sticker was 51,175.00.

There don't seem to be any deals like that out there now. The dealers aren't dealing on this product. Demand and supply I guess

You are right. I was quite surprised to get mine for around invoice price. It wasn't until I said the two magic words.....Want to do "Euro Delivery"....that they said they would just give it to me for my price.

Yea, but that is an 09'. We are talking about 2010 - big difference in value right now.

I think we are talking MSRP here, if we are talking invoice price, then the non smart key Q6 can be had for $41500. Either way, its a expensive package. I agree with others here, the smart key should a stand alone option, but this is how Audi package the smart key in almost every model. Its a good money maker for them.

And why is that? There isn't much of a price increase and the 2010 is pretty much the same as an 09'. Are you saying the economy is way better now than last year, I don't think so. It still sucks. It's all about knowing how to play the game when it comes to car dealing.

I looked at the amex pricing (http://amexnetwork.zag.com/main.html) and the price in NJ/NY is $700 over invoice without even negotiating with a dealer.

I had this feature on my Lexus also. It is a fantastic feature as usefull as power windows as far as I'm concerned. The only problem is is when I rent a car I am so spoiled that it takes a couple days for me to remember to hit the unlock button on the key fob. It's like hiking up a hill with pails of water versus turning a valve and water flows all by itself. This feature is worth every dollar. By the way my Q5 has the Luxury package as well which I recommend. If you can afford it get as many options as possible. I love the car and wouldn't change a thing. My Q5 is an awesome vehicle!
