Yeah, it is amazing. Especially on BMW. The radio settings, air settings, seat, mirrors, steering wheel, etc. All set to the key. But on my old 535, it was a $1000 option. Wonder why it's only $500 on the 3er.

I agree. Audi needs to get with this and start offering this option as a stand alone.

FitzLA,
I think you get confused between Comfort access in BMW with programmed key.
All key's in 1,3,5,6,7 & X are store info for radio settings, seat etc.
Comfort access let you open and close car doors, start and shut down car with out take a key from your pocket.

I know that all the keys do that. I was just lumping them together since Audi doesn't do any of those, unless you get the advanced key. But comfort access in a 5er is $1000 vs. the 3er for $500.

Hold on, did I miss something - Audi keys did not have different setting for Driver#1 and driver#2 - seat position memory, mirrors etc?

They have 2 memory settings for driver that includes seats and mirrors. But that's it. No radio, steering, phone, etc. It doesn't do nearly as much as the BMW does.

Well I don't think I will be ordering one with prestige as the dealer I am going to buy from has a P+, nav and B&0 in stock and selling at a good price. I think I can live without having advanced key for now.

If you have never had it, you will not know what you will be missing. So you should be good.

Turns out advanced key is a huge hit with many of the ladies- no more digging in the purse for the keychain..
