I'm looking to buy a used 2015 Q5 3.0 TDI and hoping you all can share some insights on the follow to help my decisions.

In California, What is the target price range I should be negotiating for 30k, 40k and 50k miles?

What are issues you've dealt with on your Q5 3.0 TDI?

I can’t help you with current pricing, but the engine is excellent and diesel is well suited to drivers who don’t only do short haul trips. If you take it out at highway speeds for 30+ minutes every week or two, you allow the particulate filter to go through a regenerate process that is necessary. If you do mainly short haul and stop and go, get a gasoline engine. There are no typical failures in this engine, but the emissions system is subject to part failures. The 2015 and 2016 seem to have fewer of these than the 2014’s. Because of the Vw diesel settlement, all engine and emissions failures are covered under a long warranty. Good luck in your search.
