Just thought I'd share a nifty little toy those crazy Chinese have come out with. Maybe it's been around for a while but here it is any way,
If you're not a smoker and would like to make use of the ashtray just forward of the gear shifter, there's this groovy little insert that plugs into the cigarette lighter and sits atop the ashtray which in turn charges your Qi compatible phone.
I found it on AliExpress HERE which I was a little skeptical at first but it arrived (very well packaged) in about 3-4 weeks. Tight fit and even offers an additional USB charging plug. Oh yeah, about $50 shipped to the US.

glad you post it this, I have no where to put my phone while charging it other than the passenger seat. my only complain about my Q5. not where to put ur cell phone. any thought ?
My smaller SE fits perfectly, with case, in the ash tray slot. This device may be a solution to a problem that isn’t worth $50 to me to solve.
Just bought a new F150 to replace my Silverado. Got a lower trim level XLT. I have spent the last two weeks buying and installing the following: a damper for the tailgate, two types of tie-downs for the bed, mud flaps. Each one costing between $30 and $80. And I got the RSNAV for my Q5. Maybe it’s just that I need to prove to myself that I can refrain from clicking on “BUY.”
The temptation to click “buy” has taken on a life of its own during the pandemic.. but I still haven’t ordered any antlers yet!
No antlers. But my wife and I discussed this possibility and finally bought a WeatherTech Cup holder phone holder for the phone. Delayed gift to ourselves.
