I just took a few pictures as promised. One of the front and one of the back - both driver side. I would estimate there to be approximately a 1/4 inch lip all around the edges for containment. These mats have a nice feel and are NOT slippery at all. Let me know if you need another angle taken.

I had the OEM rubber mats and they were Okay. When they began to show a little wear I decided to try the WeatherTech DigitalFit Floor Liners. No comparison in my opinion. Go WeatherTech DigiFit. When I get rid of my Q in a couple of weeks I'll have a set for sale if anyone is interested. Only about 5 months old.

Yep! My WeatherGuards are not slippery, they don't leak or leave salt rings, and they fit like a glove. To each their own.
BTW...doesn't WeatherGuard have a moneyback garauntee (sp). If you don't like em send em back. All I know is the loaner Q5 we got last year had the Audi matts and I thought they were minor league when compared to WeatherGuard. So I witnessed/used both in the course of two days. But lets be frank, I was biased a bit.

I'm not a fan of the Audi all-weather mats, but the dealer threw them in for free so I can't complain much.

IMO stick with the all-weather Audi mats.
+1

I have the WeatherTech mats for my pickup. As I was rushing out of the driver's seat last week to catch the train for work, I almost fell flat on my face in the parking lot. Could've been disastrous had I not grabbed the grab-handle in time. I was wearing leather-soled shoes and they just had no traction on the weathertech mats. Maybe a different story on the Q5 if your left foot touches the ground before your butt comes off the seat, but I'm not 6'2 so I can't do that in my pickup.
