Default Auto Dimming Mirror

Can somebody 'splain me how to get the rear view mirror to act like one? I push the button to turn it off, and still no change. Can barely see traffic in the daytime. Reading some threads, they say it can't be disabled. C'mon - it's broad daylight and I've got day for night effect!

TIA

Sounds like a defective light sensor.

Default Fixed - for now

I disconnected the mirror and it reverted to non-dimmed. Plugged back in and tested and its working.
