Car Radio Favorites/Preset stations Lost after car restart.
so one thing that has been bothering me with the Q5 is the preset stations.
I have a set list of Sirius and local radio stations that I only care about.
If I turn the car off while having the MMI on the radio button, the favorite stations are there when I start up the car.
BUT, if I say switch to navigation turn the car off.
Next time I start up the car, the last station is ON, but not in the presets.
Example:
I left the car on my preset radio station. and my next Favorite station is a sirius station.
Now when I switch to the next station, it just goes to the next radio station, rather than continuing with my favorites.
I have to click the radio button then presets and then go back to nav.
Is there a way to make the preset stations sticky or persistent?

I have the same complaint. Really bad 'German Engineering' on this one. As far as I know there is no way for the system to remember you were on presets before shutting off the car...

One way to get this fixed is to make Audi aware of the issue. Here is the response I received from Audi, seems the only way is to get enough people to write in about it:
"Our analytics team looks for common trends in our systems and if they see trends where similar issues are happening to certain vehicles, then extended warranties or software updates would be issued and this would help us address these concerns. "

Happens regularly. Complained about it during warranty period and they declared it fixed, but it persists. We only put 2-3 presets in now because we know they will soon vaporize.

sounds like two different issues. One is that the stupid radio does not remain in preset mode once you are out of radio mode and restart the car.
The other is presets just disappear from the preset menu
Have had both issues.. I think the first one is 'how it was designed' (Germany please call Japan about user ergonomics). The second is a real issue..probably more bad code.
