Default Center console

Hi,

I bought my SQ5 used and noticed that the center console arm rest does not stay up except in the fully open position and even then I feel like I have to balance it a little. Is this normal or is the arm rest broken? If it is broken, how easy it to fix?

There's like 4 or 5 levels of open for the arm rest. After you close it fully you should hear clicks as you pass each step. Mine only stays open on each step. If I open it half way it falls closed. But has no problem staying fully open.
If you feel it's broken, I believe arm rest disassembly requires entire center console removal. Google a how-to video.

Right, it's the ratchet effect going up.

I find it very tricky to get the ratchet to "catch" at the right level for me. Every time I (or a passenger) lifts the arm rest, it loses its position - bugs the heck out of me.
