Default Conti DWS are out of stock, any "just as good" alternatives?

I'm looking to get 20" 255/45R20 tires to go with my VMR V710s. However, the Continentals seem to be out of stock at Tirerack. Anyone have recommendations for All Season tires similar in performance/reviews as the Contis?

What tires came with the car?

I was surprised that my car came with 255/45/20 Pirelli All Season Tires - I would not have gotten my Contis ahead of time as the literature said the S-line came with summers.

I found that the DWS were not great for snow and ice. When they wear out I will put the Pirellis back on.

Are these the Pirelli P6 All-Seasons or something else? Mine came with Michelin Latitudes and they have been fine for snow and ice so far. Last winter's snowmageddon was their first use and there were no issues.

I don't know how they perform as I put the Conti DWS on an hour after I got he car.
I use snow tires now for winter - that are on 19's Though I never lost traction the DWS always felt squirrly.

Looks like Parada Spec-X is a good swap based on my research.

Reggie, was there any extenuating circumstances that led to you getting all season tires as opposed to summer? I ask because I would absolutely prefer all season, but expect my 3.2 s-line to come with 20" summers.

I was expecting summers and instead got all season - the 255/45/20 Pirellis. Boy was I surprised. I knew the Contis were in demand so I ordered them before the Q5 came as I found them in limited stock at TR..
I think now all seasons is what comes on the S-Line 20" wheels now.

lemalife - Since you are upgrading I bet you can wait till the DWS are in stock.
