OK, I was able to get rear DRL operation activated AND I was able to get windows up/down via keyfob operational. Dan, you need to turn it on in the MMI (as lawnmore stated) once you have done the VCDS mods. Go to MMI, CAR - Vehicle Settings - Central Locking and Turn it all on. 
Now, in your instructions for Euro Tail coding, you say to enter the security code first, where do you enter the code? Under the Security button?

Can't remember the exact wording of the TAB...but it is in the lower right.
It says security sometime...press the tab. It will prompt you to enter the security code. After entering the code...you can than go into Adaption and change the values.
Sorry, all my stuff is at home right now, and I am on the road AGAIN.

Yes the Rear Tail Lights DRL mod is totally different than the Euro Tail Mod.
I think KSA63, had posted the DRL settings earlier? If not I will post them tomorrow.

How to you make changes to your car if it doesn't have MMI?
My wife's Q5 doesn't have NAV and stuff. So not sure how I can access the hidden menu to finish the window Mod?

That looks really cool, good job! I really love the way the stock taillights look though so I'm going to leave them as is for now... maybe in some time I'll switch to that euro style... I've already noticed some POS Kia's have sort of copycatted the led tails... ugh

hmm.. i have a 2015 SQ5.
i did all the changes (EURO specs to US taillights (stock))
the blinkers and that stuff worked perfectly!
but when i enabled the Rear DRL's...the license plate and bottom outside corner rear lights activated too :-/

Mine do too.
I believe the Mod tricks the car in thinking the lights are on...all the time.
IMO, a small price to pay to ensure the TARD behind me doesn't REAR END me.

When I tried this I entered the security code vagcom provided (popped up) It would not go to the channels you posted. I guess the code you used brings up a different set of 'secure' settings maybe?
My code was like 21130 or close to that.
