I suspect they may be confusing Q7 stuff and Q5's/SQ5's as well, but of course it is the Q7 that is the relative all oddity of all Audis wheel wise.

More generally, I hope the aftermarket guys start getting behind the Q5 more, in all its flavors, as a primary source of business (with related expertise) since it has passed the A4 sales wise.
Thanks everyone for all the help! Will keep you posted

Once you've determined the proper specs from the wheel seller/manufacturer, check out Costco for lugs... I hear that they're the cheapest around.

Larry, you should be able to eyeball the new wheels to see if they need a ball or cone wheel bolt.

If you can't eyeball in there well enough to be sure, then clean out one hole, blow a little talc in it, and press in a stick of play-doh or modeling clay to take a quick impression of the bottom. The talc should allow it to pull out cleanly, just make sure to clean out the hole again before putting a bolt back in.

Wheel bolts are the kind of thing that can kill you, it pays to make Real Damn Sure you are using the right ones, not just something that can be fitted and torqued. After they thermal cycle from hard braking on a cold winter day...would you want to be that the wrong bolts would still be holding right?

Squint, or figure out a way to take an impression, if the makers can't agree on exactly what the wheel needs.
