Default Dull/faded trim?

I just noticed today that the rubber trim around my windows looks very dull on my black Q5, especially parked out in the sun (in the shade I never noticed it).

Is this how everyone else's looks or has mine faded for some reason?

Thanks.

Try putting some kind of protectant on the trim if its going to be out in the sun. Thats what I do for all my cars that have black trim.

Use silicone spray (aerosol can) on a clean rag and wipe all rubber seals periodically. Any auto parts store or Walmart etc.
Also helps doors from freezing shut in winter. Ice won't stick so well to a well lubed door seal.

I use a product called Black Wow, this will bring the trim back to life and keep them looking good.

Lexol Vinylex is the best that I've used.

This is what I use and has kept them new looking for over a year.

Use a microfiber or foam applicator when dry. Just wipe extra off after give it a bit to seep in.

This is what I use. I like that it leaves a satin finish.

I use 303 Aerospace Protectant for the rubber trim. It's a UV protector. Also use it on the dash materials every couple months or so.

I've used Gummipfledge for many years with excellent results. It not only protects what you have but can help to bring back what you've lost. http://www.1z-usa.com/einszett_gummi_pflege.html
