Default Ouch! First Scratch!

When I came home from work I noticed a 2-3 inch horizontal scratch on the rear quarter panel behind the wheel well. There was no car parked on that side today as I was next to a hydrant? It seems to be through the clear coat but I'm not sure how much deeper. Any recommendations for techniques/products to remove/minimize it would be appreciated. Thanks

i feel for you. my wife scraped the door handle of our 2 week old q5 on the steel railing in our driveway

could have been waaaaaaay worse though

sounds like yours should be able to buff/sand out though

Default i had a similar bad experience

5 day old Q5, and a dent in the rear bumper when she was happily parked in the apartment parking lot. I saw it next morning and was heart broken. It's been 2 months but and the sight of it still makes me very sad

Had my Q5 for two weeks and some one scraped back panel fender plastic. Cost $2,400 at Audi dealership, they had to replace entire wrap around fender plastic piece, repaint it to match car color, etc. and it three work days. Cover by my personal insurance, since car was parked at my complex. People are so mean or ignorant in parking lots, door scratches, dents, driving away when they scratch or back into your car.
