How do I removed an M12 triple square wheel bearing bolt that has a stripped head?
Hi everyone,
Was going to change my front passenger wheel bearing over the weekend but unfortunately, because of my clumsiness I ended up not getting one of the m12 Triple Square bolts out as the head where the triple square bit fits was slightly off with the hand tools I was using and thus I stripped it. I kept trying to use a mallet to hammer the bit in for tighter hold but it's basically stuck now.
Any ideas on how to get that specific bolt out? I was trying to see if an oversized bit could fit to remove but I'm not sure.

There are hundreds of videos on this on Youtube. It boils down to a few ways to do it and one will work for your application. A screw extractor works great but you need to spend the time drilling the pilot hole well. That takes a nice set of drill bits which even if they are the best could break while drilling so don't get bummed when they break. Patience will get them out. Lots of Euro car owners have stripped out triple squares. Search on here or any other forum and you'll see. good luck!
